
The campus will be the new location for any workers located in the north Houston area and will contain multiple low-rise office buildings, as well as laboratory, conference and training centers. In addition, the campus will offer several amenities for its workers, including child care and a wellness center.
"This new campus provides an opportunity to consolidate many of our Houston offices in one location, which will provide a high-quality working environment as our employees continue to support ExxonMobil's mission of delivering energy to meet growing global needs," said Bryan Milton, president of ExxonMobil Global Services Company.
The shift to the new location will occur in waves beginning soon after the buildings are constructed, which should happen in early 2014. In all, the company hopes to have the entire campus completed by 2015.
The Houston real estate market has become popular for commercial properties. In fact, a recent report from the CoStar Group found that, along with Minneapolis and Dallas, Houston is one of the most sought-after regions for commercial real estate.
